Itinerary

Day 1: Hubli – Gadag – Lakkundi – Hampi (180 km / 5 hrs)

Pick up from Hubli Airport and drive to Hampi, the iconic ruined city.
• Enroute visit Gadag, home to the Trikuteshwara Temple, built by the Western Chalukyas with intricately carved triple sanctums and stunning stone work.
• Proceed to Lakkundi, a treasure trove of over 50 historic temples and 101 stepwells, with exquisite carvings, inscriptions, and Jain shrines built between the 10th and 12th centuries.
• Continue to Hampi, the UNESCO World Heritage Site spread across surreal boulder-strewn landscapes.

Day 2: Hampi – Full Day Sightseeing

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for a city tour of Hampi, the ruined capital of a glorious medieval empire.

• Stop at the King’s Balance, once used to weigh emperors against gold and grain for charity.

• Visit the majestic Gol Gumbaz, with the second-largest dome in the world and whispering gallery acoustics.

Day 4: Vijayapura – Aihole – Pattadakal – Badami (120 km / 3.5 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Badami with excursion to Aihole and Pattadakal enroute.
• Visit Aihole, the cradle of Indian temple architecture with over 125 temples built by the Chalukyas. See Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple, Ravanaphadi Caves, and Huchimalli Temple.
• Proceed to Pattadakal, a UNESCO site showcasing a blend of northern and southern temple styles. Visit the Virupaksha Temple, Jain Temple, and Papanatha Temple.
• Continue to Badami, and check-in at hotel.
• Visit the Badami Cave Temples, a set of four cave temples carved into a cliff between the 6th–8th centuries.
• Explore the Badami Fort, perched on a sandstone hill with ramparts, gates, and ancient watchtowers.
• See the tranquil Agastya Lake, surrounded by ghats and red-stone temples.

Day 5: Badami – Anshi National Park (Kali Tiger Reserve) (225 km / 5.5 hrs)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive through forested terrain to Anshi National Park, part of the Kali Tiger Reserve.
• Check-in at an eco-resort or forest lodge nestled amidst the dense jungle.
• In the afternoon, proceed for a Jeep safari through deciduous and evergreen forests, home to a wide range of wildlife including tigers, black panthers, elephants, and rare endemic birds.

• Optionally, participate in nature walks or birdwatching with expert guides.
• Later, drive to Hubli Airport for your onward flight.
