Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Mumbai

• Arrival assistance at Mumbai Airport and transfer to hotel (check-in from 12 PM). • Rest of the day free to relax or explore nearby areas at your own pace. • Overnight at hotel in Mumbai.

Day 2: Mumbai Sightseeing & Elephanta Caves

• Breakfast at hotel. • Drive via Marine Drive, a scenic oceanfront boulevard known as the Queen’s Necklace. • Visit Gateway of India, a colonial triumphal arch by the waterfront. • Board a ferry to Elephanta Island (closed Mondays), known for its UNESCO-listed cave temples. • Climb 100 steps to explore Shiva cave temples, adorned with ancient rock-cut sculptures. • Return by ferry to the Gateway of India. • Visit Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Mumbai's premier art & history museum. • Drive past CST Station and the Parliament House, iconic structures of colonial-era architecture. • Stop at Dhobi Ghat, the world’s largest open-air laundry. • Overnight at hotel in Mumbai.

Day 3: Mumbai – Aurangabad (Flight) + Ellora Excursion

• Breakfast at hotel. • Transfer to Mumbai Airport and board a flight to Aurangabad. • Arrival and transfer to hotel in Aurangabad. • Excursion to Ellora Caves (closed Tuesdays), featuring 34 caves from Hindu, Buddhist & Jain faiths. • Visit Grishneshwar Temple, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlinga shrines. • Stop at Daulatabad Fort, a medieval fortress with strategic defenses and panoramic views. • Visit Bibi ka Maqbara, the Mughal-style mausoleum built by Aurangzeb’s son. • See Panchakki, a water-powered mill used to grind grain for pilgrims. • Explore the lesser-known Aurangabad Caves, carved during the 6th–7th centuries. • Overnight at hotel in Aurangabad.

Day 4: Aurangabad – Ajanta Caves Excursion (200 km round trip)

• Breakfast at hotel. • Full-day excursion to Ajanta Caves (closed Mondays), discovered in 1819 in a dense forest. • Explore 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves, dating from 200 BC to 650 AD. • Admire murals and carvings depicting Jataka tales, Buddha's life, and scenes from ancient India. • Visit Chaitya halls and Vihara monasteries, highlighting early Hinayana and later Mahayana art styles. • Return to Aurangabad in the evening. • Overnight at hotel in Aurangabad.

Day 5: Aurangabad – Atmantan Wellness Resort (290 km / 6 hrs approx.)

• Breakfast at hotel. • Drive to Atmantan Wellness Resort, a serene retreat overlooking Mulshi Lake. • Scenic drive through the Sahyadri Hills, crossing lush landscapes and waterfalls. • Check-in at the resort and receive a wellness orientation and program schedule. • Evening at leisure to explore the surroundings or relax by the lake. • Overnight at Atmantan Resort.

Days 6 to 9: Atmantan Wellness Retreat
