Day Tour: Dehradun – Paonta Sahib – Dehradun (Approx. 100 km one way / 2.5–3 hrs each way)

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Dehradun at around 9:00 AM and begin your drive to Paonta Sahib (approx. 100 km / 2.5–3 hrs). The journey takes you through scenic landscapes of the Doon Valley, passing through forested stretches, small villages, and the foothills of the Shivalik range. En route, enjoy the refreshing views and peaceful surroundings that set the tone for a spiritual day ahead.

Upon arrival, begin your visit to Gurdwara Paonta Sahib, one of the most revered Sikh pilgrimage sites associated with Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Begin the exploration of the gurdwara complex, including the main prayer hall, Shri Talab Asthan, and Shri Dastar Asthan. Learn about the Guru’s time spent here, his literary contributions, and the historical significance of this site. Experience the serene spiritual ambiance, listen to devotional kirtan, and observe the daily rituals performed by devotees. You may also visit the museum displaying artifacts such as weapons and writings associated with the Guru.

After the visit, you may participate in the langar (community meal) at the gurdwara, a unique Sikh tradition promoting equality and service, or proceed for lunch at a local restaurant (optional). Take some time to relax and absorb the peaceful surroundings.

Continue your journey as you proceed to Dei Ka Mandir (approx. 5–10 km / 15–20 mins), a historic temple dedicated to Lord Rama. Begin the temple visit and explore its intricate architecture, peaceful environment, and cultural significance. Learn about its historical background and local legends associated with the temple, while enjoying the calm and spiritual atmosphere.
